The Boroughs is a new Netflix sci‑fi series about a group of seniors in a New Mexico retirement community who realize something is very wrong in their little corner of the world – and they’re the only ones who seem to notice.
Instead of bike‑riding middle schoolers, we’re following a squad of grandparents who decide to investigate a strange, time‑stealing force creeping through their community. That setup alone feels fresh. We almost never see older characters get to be the heroes in genre TV, much less in a story that looks this big and ambitious.
